Universally Manchester Festival 2025: A community day for all

As part of our civic commitment to enhancing our relationship with members of our local communities, we are holding our annual university-wide festival on Saturday, 14 June 2025, 11am – 4.30pm.

This year’s festival builds on the success of last year’s bicentenary celebrations. The Community Festival, now known as the Universally Manchester Festival, has been running since 2017 and provides a welcoming event on campus that sees thousands of visitors from our local neighbourhoods and beyond discover the variety of work we do here at the University.

This free day is jam-packed with fun activities for all the family. We’ve got something for everyone. There are creative sessions with poetry, music, and art; tours and meets-ups with our inspiring curators; activities for your wellbeing; science experiments; and stories of local history and experiences for you to share.

Our festival provides an inviting, informal space for visitors to meet our staff and students and for us to take part in conversations that connect and inspire.
