Working together to achieve Living Wage City

The University of Manchester was proud to be part of the city of Manchester team who worked together to achieve Living Wage City status earlier this month. The University has been a pioneer and advocate for the Real Living wage in the city and has been a Real Living Wage employee since 2019.

Adèle MacKinlay, Director of People and Organisational Development confirmed our ongoing commitment to pay the real living wage: “We are proud that the University will be paying the increased Living Wage rate of £10.90 per hour to all our colleagues.”

The University has recognised the challenges the cost of living crisis is creating for staff across the organisation and is working to implement these changes ahead of the real living wage deadline.
