Cancer breakthroughs at Manchester shine bright

The University’s contribution to cancer research has been celebrated in a collection of research stories that showcase the diversity of the research undertaken and how it is transforming patient outcomes globally for the one in two of us likely to be diagnosed with some form of cancer during our lifetime.

Marking UNESCO International Mother Language Day

As part of International Mother Language Day 2021, an event which celebrates the nearly 200 languages spoken in Manchester and the cultural diversity within the city, Creative Manchester is delighted to be coordinating a number of online events that will form part of this year’s programme.

Irene Manton Lecture

In December, the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health hosted the 6th Irene Manton Lecture, in partnership with the prestigious Linnean Society of London.
