Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day

The 23 June marked International Women in Engineering Day and the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering (MACE) celebrated this occasion by organising an event to highlight the careers and successes of female engineers.

Helping preserve St Ann’s Square tributes

The sight of St Ann’s Square transformed by floral and other tributes was an indelible image which came to symbolise the city’s response to the appalling attack on Manchester Arena during which 22 people lost their lives and countless others were injured.

The University is currently conducting energy behaviour change trials focused on 10 campus buildings.

Mobike, China’s biggest and fastest growing bike-share scheme, is launching in Manchester at the end of June.

Students making a difference with final year projects

Final year undergraduate students in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering and in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering have completed their final year projects, working in areas that could make a difference to the lives of many in the future.
