Prometheus 2017

This year Alliance Manchester Business School welcomed 70 participants from across the 3rd sector for our annual leadership development conference, Prometheus.

Prometheus has grown out of Alliance MBS’ ambition to engage with all sectors of the economy and now in its fourth year we are very proud to say that is has gone from strength to strength.

From exploring the live and important current issues the 3rd sector is facing to sharing insights into the latest business and management thinking. Prometheus provides many opportunities to meet like-minded professionals, talk about challenges and share ideas, giving our participants time to reflect away from their normal environment.

“It supports the 3rd sector in developing ideas and connects up with the business world.” Kath Lloyd, Cheshire West CAB Ltd.

We were joined by a fantastic line up of contributors from both MBS as well as speakers from outside of the University, including: Ben Cooley, CEO Hope for Justice; Debra Allcock Tyler, Chief Executive, Directory of Social Change and Nick Massey, Chief Executive, Forever Manchester who all led some very interesting discussions.

Also, this year we were particularly proud to have our University Chancellor, Lemn Sissay who talked about the work that he does within the 3rd Sector and also performed some of his poems.

Planning for next year’s event is underway. If you would like to know more please contact Rebecca Allen to receive the Prometheus updates.
