Collaborative Futures Academy – deadline approaching – 19 September

by | Sep 5, 2022

A professional development opportunity for international early career researchers and engagement practitioners who want to deepen their engagement practice.

Collaborative Futures Academy 2022: Ethics and Equity in Engagement

Are you ready to push the boundaries of your engagement practice and join an international cohort to shape the future of research dialogue? Then our next Collaborative Futures Academy on Equity and Ethics in Public Engagement is for you!

Across disciplines, researchers and practitioners are thinking about new and more ethical ways of collaborating with the public. To create a strong dialogue between research and society, engagement needs to be relevant, inclusive and adapt to different challenges. This immersive learning experience is an opportunity to reflect on your engagement practice and its place in the world. We will explore the ethics of different types of engagement, methods of co-creation and authentic strategies for including those who are often left out.

The Academy will empower you to develop a bold, creative and innovative engagement practice with integrity and equity at its heart. The programme runs across November 2022 and it is free of charge. It is open to all early career researchers and engagement practitioners but preference will be given to those with fewer opportunities to develop their work.

Deadline for applications is 19 September. For more information and how to apply visit: https://www.publicengagement.berlin/cfa2022

The CFA is a collaboration between the University of Cambridge Public Engagement team, Wellcome Connecting Science, the Kavli Centre for Ethics, Science and the Public, and the Berlin School of Public Engagement and Open Science.
