FameLab Northern Heats and Finals 2020
Calling all scientists, medics, mathematicians and engineers! The regional heat for FameLab is coming to Sheffield on Thursday 27 February, followed by the Northern Final on Thursday 26 March.
FameLab is the only international science communication competition designed to find, train and mentor scientists and engineers to share their enthusiasm for research with the public. Participants from around the world engage and entertain you armed only with their wits and a few props – the result is an unpredictable, enlightening and exciting way to encourage your curiosity and find out about current research.
The winner of the 2019 regional heat, held in Sheffield, went on to win the International FameLab competition, beating 24 other science communicators from across the world.
If you would like to compete in this year’s competition, please check your eligibility and register via the FameLab website. Entrants will be given bespoke training on developing a 3-minute science communication story prior to the regional heat.
