Migrant Voices Musical Living Library in Longsight – 2 October 2021

The Migrant Voices ‘Living Library’ invites members of the public to meet celebrated musicians from the local community, hear their stories and musical performances, and share their own oral histories with historians from the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah (AIU) race centre.

The first in this series of events takes place on 2nd October at Longsight Library, with acclaimed Traditional Irish singer and flautist, Ríoghnach Connolly; Indian Classical Music maestro and Artistic Director of the Raga Jyoti Ensemble, Rakesh Joshi; and Collections Engagement Officer at the AIU centre, Maya Sharma.

Join us from 2-5pm for talks, musical performances, and group discussion, accompanied by homemade food and drink- free entry and on the door walk-ins welcome!
