Wanted new performers for Science Showoff – 17 March 2020, Star of Kings near King’s Cross in London

Science Showoff, a series of science performance events for adult audiences that raise money for charity and help science communicators develop their skills. Previous performers include a then-unknown Hannah Fry, a not-yet-on-telly Fran Scott and a “who’s this guy?” Alex Lathbridge.

We’re back on 17 March at the Star of Kings near King’s Cross in London, and looking for people who’ve never performed for us before to take part and raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

We welcome science presentations, demos, comedy, music, interpretive dance whatever you’ve got as long as it’s about science. This gig is perfect if you’re a scientist eager to get out more, a science teacher who wants to have an audience of adults for once, a science fan who wants to try a stage out for the first time, a musician or comedian with some experimental science material to try out or ANYONE AT ALL WHO LIKES FUN AND SCIENCE.

Tell us you’d like to perform using the signup link on our website.

Signing up here doesn’t guarantee a slot. Signup order is not running order. We reserve the right to refuse performers or topics.

You can already buy tickets to see the gig and donate to charity at https://www.ticketsignite.com/event/2607/science-showoff-new-performer-special. Use the code “steve” to get £5 off when you buy four tickets.

See you all when you’ve got a mic in your hands!
