UKRI to host Citizen Science Fund Webinar – Fri 11 October 2019

by | Oct 2, 2019

UKRI will be holding a Citizen Science Fund Webinar on Friday 11 October 2019 from 14:00 – 14:45.

The webinar aims to answer questions and provide background information on the recently launched £400,000 funding call aimed at encouraging researchers and innovators to experiment with Citizen Science: an important way of encouraging diverse groups of people to participate and collaborate in research and innovation projects.

Citizen Science can potentially add value to any project and through this call, up to 20 successful applicants will be awarded up to £20,000 to explore opportunities for building citizen science methodologies into their research.

The call, which is available to all active UKRI grant holders in any discipline across research and innovation, opened on 1 October with a deadline of 16:00 on Tuesday 12 of November 2019 for submitting a full bid.

Any interested PI’s or Lead Applicants should email – PublicEngagement@ukri.org – to register and are invited to use this as an opportunity to raise any particular questions that they’d like the webinar to address.

Attendance at the stakeholder event is not a pre-requisite for submitting a bid. A recording of the webinar and the slides used at the event will be made available on the UKRI website.

More information about the call and details of how to apply can be found at Citizen Science Exploration Grants: https://www.ukri.org/funding/funding-opportunities/citizen-science-exploration/
