Community Festival 2019

On the 15 June we’ll be opening our doors to the local community

Ever fancied walking on custard? How about trying your hand at making your own 3D model? Or perhaps you’d like to journey around sites of world-changing discoveries within the University of Manchester? Our free Community Festival is jam-packed with fun activities for all the family. Whether you want to get hands-on or just want to listen to some fascinating stories and watch music performance from across the city we’ve got it covered.

The University’s annual Community Festival showcases the cutting-edge research of one of the UKs leading Universities. Over the years the University has been home to some world-changing discoveries in science, medicine and the arts, contributing to Manchester’s history as the birthplace of new ideas.

On 15 June we’re inviting you and all our friends and neighbours in the local community to go behind the scenes of the University and discover the exciting work taking place here. Join us for a fun-filled day of hands-on activities, live music and performances, live experiments and the chance to meet with our staff and scientists…and much, much more!

More information can be found on the Community Festival webpages and on our Facebook page.
