Applications open for the Manchester Access Programme
The aim of the Manchester Access Programme (MAP) is to help students who meet specific academic and background criteria, achieve entry to the University of Manchester, or another research-intensive university, through the completion of a portfolio of work demonstrating specific knowledge and skills.
Students who are successful in gaining a place on MAP will be able to participate in a number of different workshops and activities at our University campus. The workshops include: Make yourself a success, interview skills, research and referencing skills, subject-specific taster days, medicine and dentistry simulation days, personal statement drop-ins, along with many more.
If students successfully complete the programme, they will:
- Receive a reduced offer of up to two A-Level grades below the standard entry offer
- Receive a scholarship of £1,000
- Receive advice and guidance for their UCAS application and personal statement, and can receive an early decision on their application to The University of Manchester.
Lulu, a former student at Aquinas college in Stockport said: “Without MAP I’m not sure I would be in the position I am currently in. It’s honestly the best thing I did during college.” To find out about MAP, and explore Lulu’s journey, please visit the MAP website.
Applications are NOW OPEN and will close at 5pm on Friday 13 December. Click here to apply.
