Students of Art Gallery and Museum Studies in the University’s School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, will present a one-day only display of medical instruments and equipment from the Museum of Medicine and Health.

For the ninth year running, postgraduate students on the course have loaned, researched and curated the display and interpretation of heritage collections within public exhibition spaces in the heart of the city. This December, at Manchester Central Library an exhibition is open to all who want to discover collections relating to medical teaching and practice in the city.

At the event you will be able to meet the students lifting the lid on a history of medical innovation and discover artefacts representative of a history of healthcare. The exhibition will cover themes including art in medicine, disability, self-treatment and general practice.
