Our new microsite highlights how we are addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The University has recently launched a new social responsibility and civic engagement website which includes a searchable microsite highlighting the wide range of work and activities that take place across the University to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals are the world’s call to action on the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing humanity and the natural world and the University is playing a leading role in tackling them.
The quality and scale of our impact against the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was in the top ten globally in the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings in 2022.
The new website reflects our social responsibility and civic engagement plan, and sets out our ambitions for the next three years. The website focuses on our five social responsibility priorities – social inclusion; prosperous communities; better health; environmental sustainability and cultural engagement.
Within this new website, the searchable microsite highlights how we are addressing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our research, learning and students, public engagement activities and responsible campus operations. The site outlines each of the 17 SDGs and provides case studies from across the University.
To search the microsite, head over to the ‘Search our SDGs’ page. From here, you can either choose to search by keywords or by selecting a range of filters such as: goal number(s), location, university functions, or university divisions.
You can also take inspiration from our work by clicking on any of the 17 SDGs from our drop-down menu, allowing you to view case studies for each individual goal in one place.
