Supporting our students’ wellbeing

wellbeingFinding the time to nurture relationships with others and connecting with new people can help you feel better and live better. Connect is one of the University’s Six Ways to Wellbeing which encourages our students to make connections at the University helping them make the most of their university experience.

At the University there are many ways students can connect with others. There are organised events taking place right across campus where students can meet new people and help boost wellbeing. Students can browse these events or sign up via our wellbeing calendar on the student support website.

Students who are experiencing feelings of isolation or would like to be connected with another like-minded students can also sign up for the peer buddy scheme.

Our students can also connect with others through volunteering or get involved in activities such as the Green Wellbeing Project, a weekly wellbeing-focussed lunchtime gardening club running every Wednesday.

For new students living in halls of residence, ResLife run events throughout the year where they can meet likeminded people in their accommodation. These events include board game nights, speed friending and more!
