Volunteer of the Year Awards 2025: Nominations open
The University of Manchester is home to amazing individuals who, in addition to their studies, dedicate their time to various causes. Now is your chance to recognise their efforts in our annual Volunteer of the Year Awards!
Make a nomination before Monday, 3 March, 10:00 am.
Celebrating the very best of volunteering, these awards allow The University of Manchester and our community partners to acknowledge those who epitomise making a difference. Even if you are not affiliated with the University, you can still nominate someone for an award.
This year’s awards will include two individual categories: Student of the Year (undertaking volunteering that benefits the wider community) and Student of the Year (undertaking volunteering that benefits other students) category, as well as Student Group of the Year.
Last year’s winners supported young people living in Myanmar to access education and to provide a zero-waste shop and encourage more sustainable living. Our winning groups campaigned for democratic access for Chilean nationals; empowered Tamil-speaking young people to improve their oral health; and provided safety on the streets at night for vulnerable people. Be inspired by the stories of our past winners and place your nomination on the Volunteer of the Year Awards website.
