Social Responsibility

As part of our work to address inequalities and to align this with our research beacon of Addressing Global Inequalities, The University will be hosting a free public film screening at the John Rylands Library on Thursday 10 November.

A University of Manchester psychology student who graduated in July has used part of his studies to benefit other people with Parkinson’s by taking part in a project to help them improve their movement.

At the end of July, as part of the Science in the City Festival, the University held ‘Open Labs: Behind the Scenes of Manchester Science’, a unique opportunity for members of the public to experience what goes on in science labs in each of the three Faculties across the whole University.

Social Entrepreneurs are born out of the desire to improve the world and make it a better place.

The University is excited to launch the first Ethical Grand Challenges event for all 8,000+ first year undergraduates – the Sustainability Challenge
