February Public Contributor Induction Session

by | Dec 17, 2018

We are pleased to announce that the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health will be hosting the next Faculty Public Contributor Induction Session in February.

The session is relevant for both new and experienced public contributors and will take place on the 12th February 9.30-12.30pm and will be hosted by Dr Stephanie Snow, Academic Lead for Community Engagement and Involvement.

The Induction will cover all aspects of being a public contributor within the Faculty including presentations from a public contributor, researcher, lecturer, student and members of the Social Responsibility and Public Engagement team. The presentations will provide attendees with information regarding Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement within the Faculty plus the role of a Public Contributor within that area. You will also have the option to attend a social media training course run by a member of the Faculty’s digital marketing team which will take place 1.30-2.30pm.

Attending the induction session is optional and reasonable travel expenses (up to £10) will be provided. For further information including registration details please visit the following Eventbrite link https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/public-contributor-induction-session-tickets-52953328832#tickets

If you have any technical issues or you would like to register by phone or email please contact srbmh@manchester.ac.uk or telephone 0161 275 5186. Please note you don’t need to attend both sessions and can just attend the social media session if you have already attended the Induction Session.

Further information including the confirmed programme will be sent to registered attendees via email a week before the session. If you have any questions in the meantime please contact srbmh@manchester.ac.uk

We plan to organise two/three induction sessions per year, if you are unable to attend the February session and would like to be contacted when future session dates are confirmed please contact srbmh@manchester.ac.uk and we will add you to our Induction Session distribution list.
