I’m a Scientist Pandemic Prevention Zone – call for participants

by | Dec 9, 2021

In January 2022, show school students how science can help us survive, and prevent, pandemics, in the I’m a Scientist Pandemic Prevention Zone.

The I’m a Scientist team are looking for people whose work is related to pandemics – including virologists, epidemiologists, geneticists, and immunologists – to take part in live text-based Chats with students, and answer follow-up questions.

The Pandemic Prevention Zone will run alongside the televised Ri CHRISTMAS LECTURES series. Take part alongside contributors to the lectures.

Take part at the times that suit your schedule throughout January, as much or as little as you like. Scientists who take part report having improved communication skills, more confidence with engagement, and feel energised about their own research.

The Pandemic Prevention Zone is produced on behalf of the Ri.

What do I need to do now? Let us know whether you can participate by 15 December. We will then send you your login instructions if there’s a place for you.
