Your invitation to take part in the NCCPE Engage Watermark survey (closes 15 June 2018)

by | May 9, 2018

The University of Manchester has applied for an Engage Watermark, an action identified in its Share, Inspire, Involve public engagement strategy (pdf).

The Engage Watermark is an award granted by the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) to higher education institutions to recognise and reward their strategic support for public engagement and their commitment to improve the support offered.

There are four levels of award, each relating to a different stage that an institution has reached in its support for public engagement, as based on the NCCPE’s EDGE tool. The Watermark lasts for three years, after which institutions can apply again. Only those institutions with a gold award can apply for the platinum level.

The Watermark process involves the completion of an application form; a survey of staff, students and partners; two assessed site visits; and the development of an action plan for the next three years.

We would appreciate you taking 15-20 minutes to complete the survey to share how well you think the University supports public engagement.
