This week the University celebrated ten years of a scholarship which has seen more than 200 students studying here before returning to their home countries in Africa and Asia to transform communities.

Earlier this month the School of Law were delighted to hear that the Legal Advice Centre had won the Best Pro Bono/Community Initiative at the Manchester Legal Awards 2017 for their Dementia Law Clinic run in partnership with national mental health charity Making Space.

Dr Sheena Cruickshank is one of 15 Fellows chosen by the world’s largest general scientific organization.

On the 20 February the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team at the University launched a new web-based platform called Report and Support.

Transport for Greater Manchester are offering all University of Manchester staff who usually commute to work by car, 50% off bus travel.

In November 2016 the University’s environmental sustainability engagement programme for staff – 10,000 Actions – was launched.

His Excellency, Arkady Rzegocki, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, visited the University to help launch a new project that will work closely with Polish schools in the city.
