Call for Expressions of Interest for the 2022 Community Festival

by | Feb 4, 2022

Get involved in showing our local friends and neighbours, the breadth of work that goes on at The University of Manchester.

Community Festival, The University of Manchester

As part of our commitment to enhancing our relationship with members of our local communities, we are holding our annual University-wide Community Festival on Saturday, 25 June 2022, from 11.00am-4.00pm.

In 2020 and 2021, we moved to a fully digital programme of events, however this year we return to an on campus in person event. We will also offer a smaller programme of digital activities.

We’ve previously welcomed over 4,000 people, many from our local neighbourhoods and beyond to enjoy our Community Festival by getting hands-on and finding out about the work of the University; with many speaking of seeing lots of friendly smiley faces having fun and really enjoying the day.

The 2022 Festival will be centred round Alan Turing, University Place and Brunswick Park. We’ll also be hosting a mini Manchester Museum marquee.

We’ll be looking to build on the success of the previous years, inviting our local neighbours on to campus to discover the wide variety of things we do, to meet our staff and students and to find out what opportunities are available for them to get involved with.

If you are interested in taking part in this year’s Community Festival, then please register your interest by completing the online expression of interest form by 5pm Friday 11 March.

If you have any questions, please contact: Dee-Ann.Johnson@manchester.ac.uk

We look forward to seeing you at the Festival in June!
