This year Falling Walls Engage will return to Berlin as a physical event as part of Falling Walls 202 on 7-9 November. To prepare this great reunion, we have just launched our Call for Applications for the 2021 Breakthrough of the Year in Science Engagement, together with our founding partner, the Robert Bosch Stiftung.

It is our goal to reach as many diverse Science Engagers and Science Communicators as possible around the world. Our 4th edition will be another amazing opportunity for applicants to gain international visibility on stage in Berlin, and connect with other inspiring Science Engagers involving communities in meaningful and impactful ways around the world.

We welcome projects that actively engage the public with science through participatory and interactive formats of all kinds and all sizes. We are looking for projects with transferable and/or scalable approaches, and which have a measurable outcome and long-term impact on their target groups.

This year, 50 Finalists will be selected and 20 Winners will get the chance to present their project in person in Berlin in front of an international audience (our FAQs for more information).
