Do you work with technology? DigiLab needs you!

by | Oct 2, 2019

DigiLab is running a two week residency from 4th -15th November (weekdays only, 11am – 4pm) and we’re looking for demonstrators and lightning talks.

DigiLab is a library run service which allows all students and staff to access new technologies, chat to companies and people who make technology, as well as provide feedback, contribute to play tests and participate in research.

We’re running two weeks of events and workshops in the ground floor of the Main Library, and we’re looking for the following people:

  • Anyone who needs participants for their research – as long as it somehow involves technology
  • Anyone who has created something with technology and is happy to talk about it with visitors – this could be students, staff, an external company – anyone.
  • Anyone who wants give short lightning talks or presentations on a technology-based subject of their choosing on the Wednesday afternoons during the two week residency (6th or 13th November, 1pm – 4pm, name your time)

Participate for as many or as few days/hours as you want.

DigiLab is aiming to democratise technology by providing a place for the entire university community to learn about and with technology. We want to showcase what our University community is capable of.

Full timetable will be released next week, however we’ll have workshops and demonstrations on the following areas: Virtual Reality, automotive technology, robotics, 3D printing, hardware computing, coding, eTextiles and more!
