Live with Scientists public engagement project – call for staff and student volunteers

by | Oct 29, 2020

Live with Scientists is a public engagement project funded by the Biochemical Society and organised through staff and students at The University of Manchester.

Monthly talks by local scientists formerly held as part of the ‘Café Scientifique’ programme have been successful in reaching out into the community and encouraging engagement with current scientific research.

Our aim is to provide equal opportunity for everyone to access science, especially those individuals who cannot attend talks due to personal or financial circumstances. The Live with Scientists website provides a platform to stream these talks and also features interviews and blogs developed in collaboration with local scientists.

We are eager to recruit new volunteers to help us further expand the Live with Scientists platform and widen our audience through a variety of social media channels.

If you are interested in applying for one of our many volunteer roles, please complete this online survey:  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfXjN-wQfgLFUsYuzWpEF78jsY6BqTvZ5iOSCeCg_-RnZikFA/viewform.

Students (undergraduate and postgraduate) and staff members (academic and non-academic) are all welcome to join our team.

For further information about the Live with Scientists platform, contact details and links to our social media channels can be found at livewithscientists.com.
