The University’s Making a Difference Awards are closing Monday 16th January 2023.

The Making a Difference Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of our staff, students, alumni and external partners, and celebrate how they are making a difference. The awards provide an excellent opportunity for highlighting your public engagement achievements, sharing best practice, and encouraging others to get involved. You can self-nominate or nominate others. More information about the awards and the application form can be found here.

There are 9 award categories including the ‘Outstanding public engagement initiative’ which has 4 sub-categories:

• Outstanding local/civic engagement (staff/student involvement)
• Outstanding national/international engagement (staff/student involvement)
• Outstanding public contribution (for external partners)
• Outstanding contribution by our cultural institutions
