An opportunity for Early Career Researchers & Academics to get involved in a local primary outreach

This week saw the launch of the Great Science Share Clean Air Challenge – a new project developed by SEERIH and The Royal Society that will involve 25 Greater Manchester schools and research scientists and engineers in engaging over 4000 primary school pupils in meaningful science enquiry.

We are looking to recruit 25 PhD, Postdocs and Early Career research academics to support the schools.

What’s involved?

• Link with one primary school (ages 7-11 years) The connections are ready and waiting for you!
• Minimum: 1 engagement in academic year of 2021-22 and 3 engagements in 2022-23
• The only specialism you need is an interest to connect with young people to support them through an investigation – asking questions, collecting data, interpreting findings etc. If your research has a focus on Climate Change then that’s great, but this isn’t a requirement.
