STFC Spark Awards – closing date 28 October 2021 4pm UK time

by | Sep 30, 2021

The Spark Awards call is now open for funding to engage the public with STFC-supported science, technology or its facilities.

This opportunity is open to a wide range of organisations and your project must involve at least one researcher in an STFC-funded area. Projects must focus on an area within the remit of STFC such as astronomy, solar and planetary science, particle and nuclear physics, particle astrophysics, cosmology and accelerator science. In particular we would like to fund projects that engage 8 to 14 year olds, and their families from socioeconomically deprived areas and groups considered to have low science capital.

Applications can be submitted up to a maximum of £15,000, there are no set restrictions on the type of costs that may be applied for, but no more than £10,000 may be spent on equipment. Digital content will only be funded as part of a wider engagement programme.

Further details on the scheme and how to apply can be found here: https://www.ukri.org/opportunity/stfc-spark-awards/
